Embroidery Digitizing
Digitizing is the technical process of transforming an image or design into a stitch file that can be read by embroidery machines. This is accomplished using specialized software that converts the designs' elements such as shapes, outlines, and text into specific types of stitches with precise stitch paths, density, and direction. To ensure the best results, we recommend submitting designs in vector format (AI, EPS) whenever possible. Vector files allow for clean scaling and easier manipulation, which ensures higher accuracy during the digitizing process. We also accept bitmap formats such as JPG, BMP, GIF, or TIF, though additional adjustments may be required to optimize these files for embroidery.
Artwork Adjustments for Embroidery
Certain design modifications may be necessary to produce a clean, high-quality embroidered result. Elements such as:
Lettering Size: Text that is too small may become unreadable once stitched. It must be scaled up or simplified to maintain legibility.
Excessive Detail: Intricate patterns, fine lines, and gradients in the original image may not translate well to embroidery due to stitch limitations. Simplifying or enhancing key details is often required to retain clarity.
Sew Out Process
Once the design is digitized, we always produce a test sample to ensure the quality and accuracy of the stitching. This sample allows us to confirm that the design translates properly on fabric and meets our standards before proceeding with full production on garments. Any necessary adjustments are made at this stage to optimize the final result.
For precise, durable, and visually appealing embroidery, proper digitizing is an essential step that ensures the final product maintains the integrity of your original design.
